ALOT is MIA
Very few folks actually know "a lot" is two words. I try to never correct grammar because I often slip up; maybe you will take it as a helpful tip. Sorry, I've been out of the classroom too long: The teacher in me is coming out. Maybe I will post a tip or two of common mistakes on Tuesdays. Would that be bitchy?

LMAO I love it! I'm forever correcting grammar; it's the teacher in me, too. Though, I often do use that, as if it is an actual word.
ReplyDeleteI'm not positive, but I think I may be guilty alot (ha ha ha ha), but thanks for the advice, I hate when I have horrible grammar.....which I think in and of itself was wrong. I am done
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad someone else said something else about those commercials! UGH
ReplyDeleteThat is a pet peeve of mine too!
ReplyDeleteThese were alot of good Post Its.
ReplyDeleteI'm kidding.

Kathie Lee is annoying. Ugh.
I'm sooo sick of the Activia commercials!
ReplyDeleteKathy Lee drives me nuts so I stopped watching when she joined the crew. Eww, didn't like her with Regis and don't like her now.

LOL about Jamie Lee Curtis. You may be right about her. :0)
ReplyDeleteThat would be FANTASTIC. I'm such a Grammar Nazi. I swear I almost corrected the checker at the market the other day. Yeah, I barely held it in.
ReplyDeleteHave at it! Maybe there, their and they're could make the list?
ReplyDeleteOr apostrophes where they aren't needed?
The misuse of "a lot" is a huge pet peeve of mine, too. I'm all for Tuesday Lessons!! Please find time to school everyone on the correct use of too/to (why is this so difficult?!) and also they're/there/their.
ReplyDeleteThanks for finding my blog, looking forward to following you, too!
Bring on the Bitchy, love it! I always do this with a lot. I hope I catch them all. Also their and they're folks in the bloggy world drive me crazy with that...

ReplyDeleteIt drives me crazy that "alot" isn't a word! esp since the meaning of "a lot" is so different from "lot". Time to give in and evolve :P
